Chinese electric vehicle maker Leapmotor launched its first retail store in Hong Kong (Cityplaza,Corruption (1983) Taikoo Shing) on June 11 — a move CEO Zhu Jiangming said would help the company reach global consumers and improve investor understanding. Right-hand-drive versions of Leapmotor’s two models — the C10 sport utility vehicle and the compact, entry-level T03 — are available to Hong Kong customers at starting prices of HK$199,900 and HK$99,900 (US$25,467 and US$12,727), respectively. The Hong Kong-listed, Stellantis-backed company operates more than 600 overseas locations and is seeking sites to manufacture cars locally in both Europe and Southeast Asia by the end of the year, Zhu told the South China Morning Post.
